How We Think About Stats

A build is a set of trade-offs, not a single best answer. Dungeon Lootr rewards committing points to one or two attributes instead of spreading them thin, because most damage and survivability formulas scale steadily while enemy health in later chambers scales faster. The four attributes pull in different directions:

Strength (STR)

Flat physical damage and stagger. The straightforward choice for melee kits that want big numbers without setup.

Agility (AGI)

Attack cadence, crit rate, and dodge reliability. Best when your kit wants to trigger on-hit effects often.

Intelligence (INT)

Spell power and cooldown reduction. Mage and burst kits live or die on how quickly their cooldowns return.

Vitality (VIT)

Health and damage mitigation. Cheap insurance that keeps a glass-cannon run alive long enough to matter.

Three Mistakes We See Most

  • 1.Spreading points evenly across all four attributes. It feels safe, but it produces a character that is mediocre at everything and never reaches the damage or survivability checkpoints later chambers assume.
  • 2.Chasing a tier-list class before the build is ready. A top-tier kit on a bad stat spread still dies in a high chamber, so fix the stats before you spend on rarity.
  • 3.Neglecting mitigation entirely. A little Vitality is the difference between learning a boss pattern and being removed from the fight before you see it.

These are strategy notes, not official numbers. Confirm attribute scaling in the live client, as early-access balance changes often.
